PENTA d.o.o. on 13th December 2017 signed a Grant Agreement for projects funded from the European Structural and Investment Funds in the 2014-2020 financial period. The contract was signed between the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovations and Investments on the one hand and Penta d.o.o. as beneficiaries of grants on the other. In accordance with the signed Partnership Agreement, the partner project is the Faculty of Transport Sciences of the University of Zagreb, which ensures exchange of experience and knowledge between the scientific sector and entrepreneurship and vice versa.

Grants are awarded for the purpose of implementing the project called "SPARK SENSE" which includes two phases of research and development, phase Industrial Research (13.12.2017 - 12.05.2019) and the phase Experimental Development (13.05.2019 - 30.11.2019)

Goals and expected results of the project

The goal of the project is to find and establish an adequate solution/system that will reduce the traffic jam and at the same time make it easier for drivers to carry out their daily duties by providing parking space reservation in the city center, which the SPARK SENSE system will provide. Drivers could reserve their parking space without the stress of finding parking and unnecessary traffic around city centers in the midst of a big crowd. With the development of mobile applications, drivers will have access to the status of parking spaces at the desired parking lot, the possibility of booking them and the use of new and improved forms of payment.

One of the goals of this project, apart from the development of a new and diversified product for the company and the domestic and neighboring markets, is environmental conservation, where it will affect the reduction of fossil fuel consumption and thus the reduction of pollution.

 

Successful implementation of the project will enable the achievement of the following results:

R1 Created project documentation, server application, info display communication module, developed smartphone application (for Android and iOS), developed WEB application, developed barrier management module

R2 SPARK SENSE tested in test and real environment, system errors were corrected and the system upgraded

R3 Developed Environmental Impact Study according to project pilot projections, elaborated Impact Study of citizen satisfaction, scientific paper in the traffic sector prepared, SPARK SENSE project results presented at conference

R4 Selected form of intellectual property protection - trademark and patent, marketing plan made

R5 Produced promotional informative video about SPARK SENSE system

 

By implementing the project, the necessary preconditions for business expansion and increasing the competitiveness of the company in the market will be realized, and will also have an impact on the creation of new jobs.
