Recycle machines delivered to two Pula elementary schools
In September, Penta, according to the requirements of Pula Herculanea d.o.o., delivered two modern recycling machines for two primary schools in Pula - Giuseppina Martinuzzi and Vidikovac. These are smart machines for collecting packaging waste, namely plastic, glass and metal packaging, with the basic goal of encouraging students to adopt the habit of proper waste separation at an early age.
Recycling machines have the technology and implemented software that enables the identification of packaging and additionally records the amount and type of packaging inserted by individual classes. The above was designed so that the students of the class would be additionally motivated, given that the class that collects the most packaging will win a prize - a surprise trip. It should be noted that this commendable project does not only aim to improve the ecological situation but the funds from the collected packaging will be used to help the Rachem homeless shelter, making this a humanitarian project, the implementation of which allows those who need help the most.
Recycling machines represent a small but significant step for the city of Pula. Still, according to the mayor Filip Zoričić, who attended the handover of the recycling machines, the project is going further. It is planned to continue equipping other Pula elementary schools with modern and smart machines for collecting packaging waste, with an emphasis on the ecological but also humanitarian character of the project.
