The transport company Lasta has introduced in Smederevo one of the most modern solutions for monitoring, sale and fleet management - the BusCARD system.

The system is implemented on the city, suburban and interurban lines in the area of Smederevo. All vehicles are equipped with devices for paper ticket sales and RFID card verification, and new equipment is installed at the station as well as at the Lasta`s headquarters by which WLAN data is transmitted to/from vehicles, GPS/GPRS vehicle position monitoring and timetable monitoring. Control of passenger entry at the station was introduced as well as a number of back-office applications.
