Like Smederevska Palanka, Smederevo and Sombor will have advanced public transport thanks to the BusCARD system.

In Severtrans, they have decided to introduce the BusCARD system in the most complete and complex way possible. Electronic ticketing equipment will be installed on all Severtrans buses, controllers will be equipped with handheld devices, and passengers' entry to bus stops will be controlled by turnstile tripods. In the garage will be installed software support to monitor vehicle movement, manage ticketing, control fuel leakage and fuel consumption, and manage bus fleet operations.

The system will be introduced gradually so that new RFID cards will be made for students at the beginning of September, and the planned deadline for the introduction of the complete system is scheduled for later this year.
